Lovely Gray Currency Shield At the Bay State Show this November, I purchased this lovely currency shield. Most grey shields, after being made, were stored in the basement of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing so they had water damage in the bottom right corner. This DOES NOT! This shield has a light dirt line across the center, but it doesn't take away from its character. Banks would receive these shields and they would purchase their own frame.
