In 1973, Tom started Denly's of Boston while working in the family travel business. He did this as a way to combine his life-long hobby with a second source of income. Since that very first year, his name has grown into the business which is now know and respected worldwide.

Tom Denly has been a contributor to over 20 currency collecting publications and is now Pricing Editor for Whitman Publishing's currency publications. His most recent projects were the pricing in The Hundred Greatest American Currency Notes by Q. David Bowers and David Sundman, and The Official Red Book Guide of United States Paper Money narrative by Q. David Bowers. Tom receives no payment for this work as he feels it is in the best interest of the hobby.

Tom is a 22 year member of the Professional Numismatic Guild, Life Member #1 of the Society of Paper Money Collectors, a life member of the American Numismatic Association, and charter member and past president of the Professional Currency Dealers Association.

Tom is married with two children. His wife Anita works with handicapped children in their home town. His daughter Carla, 32, is an independent documentary film producer on the west coast. She has won a number of awards and has produced many segments for PBS's Nova Science Now. Tom's son Michael, 22, is an award winning college graduate with fluency in four languages who is pursuing a career in international diplomacy.

Tom, when he takes a break from his work and family, loves to fish. Many of his ads and his website incorporate his passion for currency collecting and fishing.

Tom is a true collector's dealer and his first priority in business is maintaining a friendly, educational, personal atmosphere.

Jennifer was hired over ten years ago in an administrative capacity. Within her first couple of months of employment, she found herself sharing the collector's fascination with the interesting, historical, works of art that crossed her desk daily. Her eagerness to learn the business quickly propelled her to a position of extreme importance. She is now Tom's right-hand person.

Jennifer has been an integral part in brining Denly's into the 21st Century. She played a major role in developing our inventory control system, our invoicing and bookkeeping system and was instrumental in the creation of this website. She manages the website and is constantly improving the usability of the site with the help of customer comments. She is also continuously creating, developing and implementing new ways to improve the business.

Martha was hired here over six years ago when it was determined that a third full-time employee was necessary. Shortly after her arrival, Denly's made a move to increase the volume of currency sold on eBay. Martha manages our eBay business from beginning to end and always ensures our customers are satisfied. With this, she has made some true collectors out of people who may never have thought twice about collecting currency.

Along with her eBay responsibilities, she is the key person who ensures the scanning is up-to-date on our website and she plays a major role in the sales and customer service end of the business.
